Lucy Banks will be departing TikTok after a three-year stint. Banks was the video sharing application’s head of partnership solutions, global business marketing for Europe.
With TikTok facing an uncertain future in the U.S., several top executives have left the company in recent weeks, including global head of music business development Ole Obermann, global head of litigation Emily Stubbs, U.S. general manager of agency business Jack Bamberger, and head of ad sales for North America Sameer Singh.
Based in London, Banks was in charge of finding new partnership solutions, responsible for delivering creative opportunities for brands across the continent. During her time at TikTok, her team scored partnerships with brands such as Aldi for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and Unilever for #CleanTok.
She worked alongside Trevor Johnson, TikTok’s head of global partnership solutions.
According to Campaign UK, Banks resigned from TikTok to pursue her own opportunities. TikTok confirmed her departure but provided no further details.
She joined the social media company in September 2021 from Alphabet, where she held roles at YouTube as head of brand business development for YouTube EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) and as Google’s head of content solutions; BSI (brand solutions and innovation), EMEA.
Banks also worked with Bauer Media Group, where she was executive director in charge of the media group’s ad and content agency, Adventure, and as an executive creative director at ZenithOptimedia.
