As a busy mom, gone are the days of regularly scheduled salon visits. I’m officially living in my quick-dry, DIY nail era. So, when I learned that Nails.INC was launching a first-of-its-kind nail polish to upgrade the at-home mani as we know it, I was thrilled. I’ve been a fan of the brand for many years, and it’s the number-one nail brand in the UK. On a Zoom with brand founder Thea Green, I learned all about her new innovation, which has been aptly named It’s Topless. Here’s why.
Why This Nail Polish Is a Breakthrough
“This is a revolutionary, four-in-one technology,” says Green. “It’s the very first nail polish that combines a base coat, color, treatment and topcoat all in one bottle. We’re saying it’s the first time that nail polish has been allowed to enter the makeup bag. This is because most people wouldn’t be able to take their nail polish out on the go with them—until now. The formula has a gel-like thickness to it for gel-like shine and wear, but you don’t need to cure it with LED light. And, you remove it with regular remover.” Additionally, it dries in just 50 seconds and wears for up to eight days.
More people are moving away from going to salons weekly and are looking for easy at-home solutions to doing their nails, Green says. “You can see the press-on nail market is really exploding. We like to say It’s Topless is as quick as applying press-on nails. Actually, it’s probably even faster.”

Green also tells me that the brand has some fantastic data from user trials. “Ninety-five percent of users found that their nails had improved quality and were stronger after using TOPLESS,” she says. “And, 98 percent of people were overly satisfied with eight days of wear or more.” Nails.INC credits the “latest-generation Alkyd resin” for providing the polish’s extreme durability. In addition, a combination of “patented bonding hexanol, retinol-like cranberry bio-peptides, and kale extract” is responsible for the nail-strengthening benefits.
The Shade Range
The nail polish comes in 21 shades and gives a full range of color, from bright red to baby pink. My personal favorites are Halle, a shimmery lilac, and Hailey, a creamy lilac. (I think this will be a big color trend for spring.) And, if you’ve never tried NailsINC. before, one really cool point of difference is the actual bottle itself. Green and her team designed it to reflect the color of the polish onto your nail. So, if you hold the bottle over your nail, you can see what each color would look like on you. Overall, I love this formula and can’t wait for even more shades.
