Sonego just had arguably his most comfortable hold of the set but it could be for nothing as Shelton is about to serve for a two-set lead at 6-4, 5-4.

A crucial hold for Lorenzo Sonego in the first game of the second set.
Ben Shelton was testing the Italian, and had a break point opportunity, but after 12 minutes, Sonego was able to close out the game to take a 1-0 lead with Shelton to serve.

It was neck-and-neck between the two until then, but Shelton managed to clinch the crucial moment.
The young American solidified the break with a crisp and concise service game to close out the set in 47 minutes.
Over to court 3 quickly, where Australian junior Emerson Jones has just won her third-round match 6-3, 6-2 against Yuliya Perapekhina.
Jones’ victory came not long after Australian wildcard Tahlia Kokkinis also won her third-round match against British qualifier Brooke Black.
