Reader Question – The book where she’s mourning the loss of her mother & seeks out the company of men in bars…
Pui needs our book help! Oh this one is SO MUCH MORE than the title of the question implies. WOW what a story… I’ll spoiler alert here and there so tread carefully if you haven’t read this book yet.

I’m hoping you may be able to identify a book I read years ago. I’ve scoured my Kindle Unlimited borrowing history but nothing is ringing a bell unfortunately.
Novel is a romance where the main female character is grieving over the loss of her mother. Her siblings (at least one sister) have moved on with their lives but she has not. She is lonely and seeks out the company of men in bars. She has emotion free sex so she thinks she’s in control picking the men.
She meets the male main character (I think in a bar) and I think he takes her home refusing to have sex with her even though she wants to. I think she’s drunk and he was with his brother in the bar.

Unbeknownst to the female, he is the recipient of her mother’s heart (he has a transplant) and he was interested in finding the family of his donor. His brother is concerned about his involvement with the female. The male character is concerned about the female and he kind of starts to date her. She fights her feelings for him.

Near the end of the story, he has to go back home. The climate where she lives is snowy and cold, not great for his heart condition. His brother and parents want him to go home.
The female is refusing to acknowledge that she loves him. She finds out later near the ending that he has her mother’s heart.
