World Shipping C0uncil

The World Shipping Council (WSC) has appointed Joe Kramek as its new president and CEO, to succeed John Butler upon his retirement at the end of July. Before stepping into his new position Kramek was the WSC’s director of U.S. government relations. His professional journey includes twenty-eight years as a commissioned officer with the U.S. Coast Guard, where he spent time at sea and as the Chief of Maritime, International, and Environmental Law. Kramek led the U.S. Delegation to the International Maritime Organization’s Legal Committee during his Coast Guard tenure. Butler served as president and CEO of the WSC since 2015, originally joining as general counsel for the association in 2010.

Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA)

Mark Taggart, former Toyota Industries Commercial Finance (TICF) president and CEO, assumed the role of chief financial officer (CFO) for Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) on April 1. Taggart will continue his role as chairman of Toyota Industries Global Commercial Finance, overseeing TICF. Taggart joined the Toyota group of companies in 1996 and he helped drive the establishment of Toyota Financial Savings Bank (TFSB). In Japan in 2012, Taggart assumed key leadership roles at Toyota Financial Services Corporation (TFSC), culminating in his promotion to vice-president. Before his most recent role at TICF, Taggart was president and CEO of TFSB. John Crews, TICF general counsel, secretary and chief compliance officer, will succeed Taggart as TICF president.

AMT

Applied Manufacturing Technologies (AMT) has hired Terry Kiesling as business development manager. Kiesling’s background includes experience in the automation, networking, and test and measurement industries. Before joining Applied Manufacturing Technologies, Kiesling was global account manager at Omron Automation Americas.

Stoecklin Logistics

Stoecklin Logistics has appointed Juerg Frefel as CEO.  Frefel is a natural scientist and engineer. He succeeds Urs Gruetter who led the company for nearly 30 years. Gruetter continues to support Stoecklin as chairman of its board of directors.
