“‘The Apocalyptist’ as it is based on several dreams I had at the time which were somewhat disturbing but I felt the need to write about them in a way of exorcising from my mind and sending them elsewhere.
“It’s an epic that encompasses all manner of issues and life choices and is twisted up in biblical imagery and Armageddon, typical My Dying Bride subjects really.”
“It’s a bit too long really for a single, although that didn’t stop us releasing ‘The Barghest O’Whitby’ (27 minutes) but these days singles are accompanied with a video and it’s way too expensive to created epic videos.”
