  1. I think perpetuating hate against Tottenham isn't a good look. There's no point making it personal against their fans. Don't get me wrong, I was delighted with the result. To see Saka cup his ears after setting up the 1st goal (after the minority of trashy Spurs fans were cheering 'you let your country down') was simply wonderful. I just think discrediting Spurs fans isn't at all classy. They love their team like we love ours.

  2. Arsenal player ratings vs Sp*rs:

Raya – 5 (lowest rated player)
    White – 7
    Saliba – 7
    Magalhães – 6
    Tomiyasu – 6
    Ødegaard – 7
    Partey – 7
    Rice – 7
    Saka – 8
    Havertz – 9 (motm)
    Trossard -7
    Martinelli – 6
    Kiwior – 6
Arteta – 9 ( he got it right and should have overseen a 4 – 1, the execution on the part of the players simply wasn't there. This was summed up in the performance of our captain MØ8. There was a big atmosphere with really big emotions as the gaffe might say. You could feel every player just fighting to manage the emotional challenge. With the exception of Saka (who's maturity has always been so far ahead of his actual experience) and Havertz who does not bear the scars of Conte grabbing 4th with the enemy and of the disappointing finish to last season. And coming through those last 20 min and getting the 3 pts will go a long way in healing emotional scarring and giving the team greater belief this season will be different)

  3. I think there's a perception that Kai is a big game player, and he is in a sense, but I think what it is more than anything is consistency, he plays the same way in a massive derby as he would against Luton, its not that he's stepping up, he just isn't phased whatsoever and plays his game, he doesn't shrink, he doesn't grow (pause), he's just him no matter what. In the chaos of a frantic high pressure game, as other players go up and down throughout the game, making errors because of the occasion, Kai waits calmly in the eye of the storm for his moment to strike.

  4. Spurs’ 2.73 xG was artificially inflated by Raya’s inexplicable mistake gifting Romero an unmissable opportunity plus a penalty. Spurs started well but got hands put on them and the way the second half was going, the next goal was increasingly looking like our fourth; then Raya blundered. We were a whisker away from emptying their stadium then Raya’s inexplicable error sent nervousness through the team and Spurs got a surge of belief directly from it.

  5. I begrudge the YouTube freeloaders.

  6. That new Kai song is AMAZING hahahahahaha OMG please put that out in the Arsenalsvere

  7. Matt Kandela on the Modelos, a fantastic drop!!

  9. I have to acknowledge Pedro’s call for Arteta as manager very early. He had total belief in this guy when nobody saw it. Respect man.

    London is RED. ❤

  13. Massive result! The spuffs were always going to have the edge in the 2nd half after half a month of rest, but we did what we had to and put the game (just!) out of reach in the first half.

That first half brought back memories of what Fergie used to do to us in the late 2000s when united would rock up and look totally comfortable letting us have 60, 70, 80% possession, knowing we had a major tactical weakness that meant we could be easily picked off on the counter. ‘Angeball’ imo is basically late 2000s Wengerball, and has much the same weaknesses – their ridiculously high line leaves them open to counters, and they can’t defend set pieces for shit – and we ruthlessly exploited both.
