They better not waste the campaign like how they did in shadowkeep and beyond light. They better have solid character arcs (as promised), a clear stroyline/plot and (I hope) a cutscene of the people of the last city, so that there is IMPACT, FLEXIBILTY and DYNAMICS
I guess – since Day 1 – there's been a certain inevitability about Eris becoming the enemy and that Bungie has given us a glimpse of that inevitability with the Dark Future book. At the same time I hate the tragedy of it all that, as a character that has suffered the way she has suffered, she is ultimately damned. Especially so that someone like Savathun becomes an instrument of her destruction just to save her own skin.
Then again Savathun is being Savathun and playing us the player with deceptive bullshit.
I hope to be surprised and not be disappointed but I fear it's too much to ask from Bungie narrative as of late given their predictability.
I like that you brought up marathon. I like to think of halo, destiny, and marathon as different time lines in the same universe. There are even some strange crossovers with Mida I think, and the enemies even have similarities
