Taylor sounds best here when her back up singers are helping her keep pitch. I've noticed that her SNL performances do tend to be pitchy. I don't know if it's the stage set up or nerves, but her SNL All Too Well performance was super, super pitchy and not my favourite at all. The performance was fantastic, but the vocals really not the best compared to other live performances.
Anyone that wants to throw a hissy fit at me, please stop. Every single vocalist in the world has performances where they are under or over pitched. It happens to everyone. Taylor is boss enough to move through it and she can usually adjust herself really well and she catches it very quickly.
I love this performance either way because she just seems to be having the best time 😊

on Spotify over and over, Taylor is a magician and a genius with her lyrics. She’s the whole package, down to earth and friendly.

And anyway I’m a huge Taylor GIRLIE and I will defend her to the ends of the earth but you guys are FINE, you can say it’s different b/c it WAS different for her and if people get mad they’re too sensitive lol
I don’t care for this song, for some reason everything about it has always sounded “wrong” to me. Off pitch, off beat, off rhythm, her words are not lining up with the beat of the music. Like she has words and she has music and they don’t line up correctly. And it hits my ear just right where I want to jiggle it, like it’s out of tune.
I want to like it because everyone talks about this performance but again it just sounds so wrong to me.
I don’t know why because Taylor is one of my favorites.
Sax slaps but I swear this performance is my enemy compared to the vocals for the eras tour surprise song and studio version. R&B Bon Jovi is WILD. Studio version is similar but vocals are much better. Sax is there just not the full solo.
