Fascinating question regarding Alicent. Innocent no. Do I like her character? kind of. I might root for her if she didn't serve her father and if I liked her sons. However, I will say she is not Cersei though. I mean I feel like Alicent had genuine sadness when her husband died, before she used it to her advantage. I also think about that scene in season 1 with the creepy guy on the boat, he offered to take revenge for what happened to her son's eye, and she declined. Cersei she would have taken that offer in a second. I am not sure if there is any good guy or bad guy, just some worse than others. Team Black though.

Then instead of trying to fix the situation she ran to Dragonstone and allowed Otto and Alicent to run the kingdom while her father was rotting.
Her ungrateful @$$ made him use the last of strength to stumble to the throne to help her bastard kid after abandoning him for years and disrespecting him at every turn before that
