  1. Is the youth mental health crisis a matter of not having power yet, or a unconscious realisation that they will never be able to have power? No one believes in democratic institutions anymore. they no longer work. 90% of people want gun reform – and yet there is no gun reform – not after years and children being literally decapitated by AR-15s. Simply because the power belongs to a tiny elite who manufacture guns. I belong to generation X and i think we were the first generation that understood that we are highly unlikely to be let into the power structure that gets to decide things. and we were the first generation to show this uptick in mental illness. I don't think this is a coincidence.

  2. Does 21st century education have qualities of being a false vacume, whereby the spaces between one point and the other, could be one way to glean what is happening under the surface of the current state of education. I would love to see something depicting the patterns or axis points of overlapping components in this system. Do you have any dotted graphs for me to explore 🤩?

  3. This distillation of research and insights is impressive! Thank you for inviting us to re-imagine education together and supporting us to enact it with these dialogues and insights.

  4. Planetary centric is da thing!

  5. In 1:14 this would be an appropriate interjection supporting Zak's point. "This is of enormous importance in its application to moral education: if we give the child definite precepts in conceptual form, we oblige him to come to morality in the form of ideas, and then antipathy arises; man’s inner organism sets itself against abstract moral precepts or commandments, it opposes them. But I can encourage the child to form his own moral sentiments direct from life, from feeling, from example and subsequently lead him on to the breaking down, to the catabolic stage, and get him to formulate moral principles as a free autonomous being. In this case I am helping him to an activity which benefits his entire being. Thus, if I give a child moral precepts I make morality distasteful, disgusting, to him, and this fact plays an important part in modern social life. You have no idea how much disgust human beings have felt for some of the most beautiful, the noblest, the mast majestic of man’s moral impulses because they have been presented to them in the form of precepts, in the form of intellectual ideas."
