Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, previously sceptical about a 2024 refresh, now confirms the imminent arrival of the Apple Watch Ultra 3. Kuo suggests minimal hardware changes from its predecessor, the Apple Watch Ultra 2.
While specifics regarding the upcoming model remain undisclosed, Kuo’s update shared with MacRumors hints at a September launch for the Apple Watch Ultra 3.
MacRumors also speculates on the likelihood of a third-generation Apple Watch SE this year, aligning with Apple’s typical two-year upgrade cycle. However, uncertainties loom over the release of the Apple Watch Series 9 successor.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman previously discussed a redesigned ‘Apple Watch X’ featuring a slimmer design and magnetic bands. However, the timeframe for its debut remains ambiguous, with suggestions ranging from 2024 to 2025.
As we approach September, it’s nearly been a decade since the debut of the original Apple Watch in 2014, followed by its launch in April 2015.
