One Piece Episode 1098 Review: Lucci Returns! Gear Up for Egghead Island

Dr. Vegapunk explains the legend surrounding the Iron Giant. The robot apparently climbed the Red Line and attacked Mary Geoise. Unfortunately, it ran out of power and failed to inflict any damage. At some point the World Government lost track of it but it’s been kept in the scrapyard. Shaka adds that he based the Vegaforce-01 on the Iron Giant. He couldn’t replicate it’s power source.

Elsewhere, the CPO agents approach Egghead. Rob Lucci demands entry into the ports but is denied. He orders cannons to be fired at the Sea Beast Weapons. While Shaka prepares to prevent Rob from entering, Kaku and Rob fail to convince Pythagoras from entering. Backed against a corner, Rob resorts to violence.

Kuma disappears and Lucci Returns

Dr. Vegapunk asks Luffy to “take him away from Egghead Island.” He aims to eliminate the need to fight over energy resources by creating an infinite energy source and provide it to everyone for free. In order to gain this knowledge Dr. Vegapunk had to research information from the Void Century, thus becoming an enemy of the World Government.

For that reason, Rob Lucci and the rest of CP0 are coming to assassinate him. Meanwhile, Kuma goes ballistic while undergoing repairs in Kamabakka Kingdom. He disappears using his Devil Fruit ability, escaping Dragon and Ivankov.
