The Ultimate Emily Henry Book List

MUCH LOVED AUTHOR AND SHE HAS A NEW RELEASE COMING OUT IN JUST A WEEK!! So I thought I’d highlight her with a list of her entire repertoire! 😀 She (at least as far as I know) writes standalones, so I’ll try to put these in order of publication.

I love her fun and colorful book covers and clever titles, but if you haven’t discovered her earlier books yet, they sound so unique and exciting and… kind of magically crazy.

Michele G: Emily Henry is undoubtedly one of my favorite authors.

JR: I just finished Book Lovers by Emily Henry and I’m already in a book fog! I love the idea of the story being about what happens to the workaholic city girl who is left behind in a romantic novel or Hallmark movie when the guy she’s dating discovers himself and what he’s always wanted in an idyllic small town. What then happens to the city girl and her story? Loved it!

Harper: Book Lovers is AMAZING!!! I cried and laughed through the whole book. The banter is incredible. The steamy parts were ok, but it wasn’t the focus of the story anyway. I included it in my list of Best of 2022.

EMILY HENRY’S DEBUT!!!

The Love That Split the World

SHE STARTS SEEING STRANGE THINGS… AND THEN SHE MEETS HIM.

“…then her whole town disappears for hours, fading away into rolling hills and grazing buffalo, and Nat knows something isn’t right.

Then there are the visits from the kind but mysterious apparition she calls “Grandmother,” who tells her, “You have three months to save him.” The next night, under the stadium lights of the high school football field, she meets a beautiful boy named Beau, and it’s as if time just stops and nothing exists. Nothing, except Natalie and Beau…”

WHEN THEY INVESTIGATE IT, EVERYTHING CHANGES…

When the Sky Fell on Splendor

SOMETHING FALLS FROM THE SKY & EVERYTHING CHANGES…

“…The group calls themselves The Ordinary, and they spend their free time investigating local ghost stories and legends, filming their exploits for their small following of YouTube fans. It’s silly, it’s fun, and it keeps them from dwelling on the sadness that surrounds them.

Until one evening, when the strange and dangerous thing they film isn’t fiction–it’s a bright light, something massive hurtling toward them from the sky. And when it crashes and the teens go to investigate…everything changes…”

COMPLETE OPPOSITES MAKE A PACT…

Beach Read

AUTHORS THAT ARE COMPLETE OPPOSITES MAKE A PACT…

“…Augustus Everett is an acclaimed author of literary fiction. January Andrews writes bestselling romance. When she pens a happily ever after, he kills off his entire cast.

They’re polar opposites. In fact, the only thing they have in common is that for the next three months, they’re living in neighboring beach houses, broke, and bogged down with writer’s block.

Until, one hazy evening, one thing leads to another and they strike a deal designed to force them out of their creative ruts: Augustus will spend the summer writing something happy, and January will pen the next Great American Novel...”

Tasha J: Beach Read is funny, I stopped and said oooohhh, crap just got real. It’s gonna get even better y’all.

J R: I’m late to the game, but finally read Beach Read and loved the characters and all they were working through individually and together.

BEST FRIENDS THAT ARE OPPOSITES & THEN THEY FALL APART…

People We Meet on Vacation

BEST FRIENDS THAT ARE OPPOSITES & THEN THEY FALL APART…

“…For most of the year they live far apart—she’s in New York City, and he’s in their small hometown—but every summer, for a decade, they have taken one glorious week of vacation together.

Until two years ago, when they ruined everything. They haven’t spoken since.

Poppy has everything she should want, but she’s stuck in a rut. When someone asks when she was last truly happy, she knows, without a doubt, it was on that ill-fated, final trip with Alex. And so, she decides to convince her best friend to take one more vacation together…”

Michele G: …I have to chime in about People We Meet on Vacation….Emily Henry is undoubtedly one of my favorite authors. I adored Beach Read. For me, PWMOV is probably my fave read of the year and that is saying a LOT because I’ve read a ton of very good books this year.

J.R.: I loved the People We Meet on Vacation – 5 stars! I especially liked how their story unfolded over time and we had the flashbacks of their previous vacations. I could have kept reading more about Poppy and Alex!

Michele G: Emily Henry’s comment at the beginning of her new book was that Beach Read was for “her” and this one is for her readers….give it a go…I think you’ll like it …fingers crossed.

THE LITERARY AGENT & THE BROODING EDITOR!

Book Lovers

THE LITERARY AGENT & THE BROODING EDITOR! IT’S NEVER BEEN A MEET-CUTE…

“…she agrees to go to Sunshine Falls, North Carolina for the month of August when Libby begs her for a sisters’ trip away—with visions of a small town transformation for Nora, who she’s convinced needs to become the heroine in her own story.

But instead of picnics in meadows, or run-ins with a handsome country doctor or bulging-forearmed bartender, Nora keeps bumping into Charlie Lastra, a bookish brooding editor from back in the city. It would be a meet-cute if not for the fact that they’ve met many times and it’s never been cute...”

Tasha J: I’m reading Book Lovers and am about halfway through. Smiling and laughing my way through. 🙂

Harper: I loved Book Lovers too!!! I gave it 5 stars and it’s on my Best of 2022 list.

Mony: Book Lovers by Emily Henry – Refreshing to find a CR I couldn’t put down until the end. Lots of cool things in this story – fabulous characters. I think Emily Henry’s writing is getting stronger.

Scruffy and chaotic—with a penchant for taking solace in the sounds of heart break love ballads —Miles is exactly the opposite of practical, buttoned up Daphne, whose coworkers know so little about her they have a running bet that she’s either FBI or in witness protection.
