3 Minutes with Jo Edwards


Introducing Jo, the Managing Director of JE Consulting. Jo is a visionary leader in strategic marketing and client engagement and has over 35 years practical marketing experience working with a wide range of firms across the UK, both large and small.  She has a particular specialism in preparing and delivering digital and social media strategies to clients.

How did you get into the profession?

I originally started my career in the software industry supporting accountants in practice back in 1983 – the early days of software for annual accounts and tax! In 1998 I started JE Consulting using my marketing skills to help firms implement their own marketing strategies.

What do you love most about what you do?  

Client interaction and being able to work with forward thinking firms wanting to grow – it’s great to be part of that journey with them.

What do you see as key trends in the coming year?

Many firms are struggling with recruitment and client communications –marketing needs be a big part of supporting those needs;  its not just about winning new work anymore.

What advice would you give to someone starting out in the profession?

Find your niche and innovate!
