Points and miles travel deals for April: Maximize and earn with these offers

For the month of April, we found promotions to fly to Europe starting at 15,000 miles on Flying Blue, earn double Hyatt night credits at Thompson and Dream hotels, and get up to 275,000 bonus Delta SkyMiles for booking a cruise. That’s not all.

Airline loyalty program promotions (April 2024)

Airline loyalty programs can offer trip discounts on certain dates, the chance to earn more miles for future travel and deals to rack up points toward elite status. We collected some of this month’s active deals below.

Get Aeroplan points back on HotelSavers redemptions

Members of Air Canada’s Aeroplan program can earn up to 10,000 points back when using their Aeroplan points on a hotel stay booked through the plan’s portal, Aeroplan HotelSavers.

• Get 5,000 points back on redemptions over 20,000 points and 10,000 points back on redemptions over 40,000 points when you redeem your Aeroplan points for a hotel stay through HotelSavers.
• You can earn points back on a single transaction.
• The offer ends April 17.

Double points on Amtrak travel

Though it’s not an airline, Amtrak visits more than 500 destinations in 46 U.S. states. Plus, the railroad company is offering double Amtrak Guest Rewards points on travel this spring.

• You must register for the promotion and be an Amtrak Guest Rewards member to earn bonus points.
• The offer applies to base points only on qualifying travel.
• The promotion ends May 21.

Credit card promotions (April 2024)

Credit card issuers sometimes offer deals and discounts for certain cardholders on everything from airline travel to restaurant dining. We rounded up some credit card promotions that are active now. (Some offers may be targeted.)

Targeted Chase offer on ResortPass

If you hold a Chase credit card (specifically the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card) and are targeted for the offer, you could earn cash back on your ResortPass purchase.

• Earn 20% cash back on your ResortPass purchase of at least $100.
• You must enroll for the deal.
• You can get up to $80 cash back maximum.
• The offer expires April 30.

Targeted American Express offer with Hyatt properties in Canada

If you hold an eligible American Express card (specifically The Platinum Card® from American Express) and are targeted for the offer, you could earn cash back in the form of a statement credit on purchases with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts in Canada.

• Get a one-time $100 statement credit when you use your enrolled eligible card to spend at least $500 in one or more purchases on room rate and room charges at participating Hyatt Hotels & Resorts in Canada.
• You must book directly on Hyatt’s website.
• The offer expires April 30.

Targeted American Express offer with Minor Hotels Group

If you hold an eligible American Express card (specifically the Amex Platinum) and are targeted for the offer, you could get cash back in the form of a statement credit on purchases with select Anantara, Avani, NH, NH Collection, Nhow Hotels and Tivoli properties in the U.S. and internationally.

• Get $50 back as a one-time statement credit for spending at least $150 in one or more purchases on room rates and room charges at select Minor Hotels Group properties in the U.S. and internationally.
• You must book directly on Minor Hotels’ website.
• The offer expires July 31.

Targeted American Express offer on Carnival Cruise Line

If you hold an eligible American Express card (specifically the Amex Platinum) and are targeted for the offer, you could earn cash back in the form of a statement credit in one or more transactions on cruise reservations with Carnival Cruise Line.

• Earn a one-time $150 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible card on at least $750 in transactions on cruise reservations with Carnival Cruise Line.
• You can book on Carnival’s website, by phone or through a travel adviser.
• The offer expires Aug. 1.

• Enroll in a Sixt rental car status match with multiple airline and hotel program partners.
• Earn bonus Avianca LifeMiles via Marriott Bonvoy on stays in Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America if you adjust your earning preference on your Marriott Bonvoy profile, book with the deal’s promo code by April 30 and complete travel by May 31.
• Enroll in an Air France-KLM Flying Blue status match opportunity if you are a U.K. resident. Successful enrollment in the status match is contingent upon submitting an application, proving equivalent elite status in one of 13 eligible airline loyalty programs and paying a fee determined by your status match level. There is no publicly available end date for this promotion.
• Earn bonus World of Hyatt points for attending a virtual timeshare presentation. Must reside in an eligible U.S. state and meet an annual income requirement, among other requirements. You must request information here to learn more about this promotion. There is no publicly available end date for this offer.
• Earn bonus Wyndham Rewards points and a discount on a three-night getaway to select destinations in the U.S. for attending a timeshare presentation. The offer expires April 9, and you must complete the stay by Dec. 31.
• Earn bonus points on stays at participating Accor Live Limitless hotels (full list here) when you register and book by April 14 for a stay completed by June 2.
• Earn bonus points and up to a 25% discount as a Wyndham Rewards member on stays in Southeast Asia when you book through the offer’s link by April 25 and complete a stay by April 30.
• Earn bonus points for stays at Choice Privileges properties when you register for the promotion and stay at participating properties twice by April 30.
• Earn triple rewards points on Accor Live Limitless stays in North and Central America when you book and register by April 30.
• Earn bonus points as an IHG One Rewards member for stays at Iberostar Beachfront properties when you register for the offer and complete your stay by May 20.
• Earn a digital Costco Shop Card for eligible vacation packages (destinations listed here) as a Costco Anywhere Visa® Card by Citi (see rates and fees) cardholder by entering your promo code at checkout, booking travel by April 30 and completing travel by Aug. 31.
• Earn cash back on spending with The Motley Fool or American Airlines AAdvantage miles and Loyalty Points from the American Airlines shopping portal when purchasing a Motley Fool subscription as an American Express cardmember. The offer expires May 5.
• Get an exclusive rate on tickets to the Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte between May 8 and 12 with a Wells Fargo card. The offer is available to select Wells Fargo customers while supplies last.

• Earn cash back on purchases with Turo. The offer expires April 14.
• Earn cash back on minimum spending on a stay at Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy. The offer expires April 15.
• Earn cash back as a statement credit when you spend with participating on-site merchants at Coachella. Coachella will be held April 12-14 and April 19-21 in Indio, California.
• Targeted Delta American Express cardholders may be eligible for a $100 Delta credit. You must enroll in the promotion by April 15, book a round-trip Delta flight costing at least $350 (including taxes and fees) on your enrolled Delta card by April 30, and spend $1,500 in purchases on your enrolled Delta Amex card between March 15 and April 30.
• Earn American Express Membership Rewards points on recreational vehicle rentals with Cruise America. The offer expires April 19.
• Earn cash back on a Sixt+ car rental subscription. The offer expires April 29.
• Earn cash back on stays at Hyatt properties in Canada. The offer expires April 30.
• Earn additional Membership Rewards points when spending with ITA Airways. The offer expires May 3.
• Earn bonus Membership Rewards points when spending with Oceania Cruises. The offer expires May 7.
• Earn cash back as a statement credit on purchases at participating Viceroy Hotels and Resorts (U.S. city stays). The offer expires May 14.
• Earn cash back at Omni Hotels & Resorts. The offer expires May 15.
• Earn cash back as a statement credit on an eligible stay at select Hilton resorts and destinations. The offer expires May 15.
• Earn additional Membership Rewards points per dollar spent on qualifying purchases with Seabourn. The offer expires May 31.
• Earn cash back as a one-time statement credit on purchases at participating Caesars Rewards Las Vegas destinations. The offer expires May 31.
• Earn a one-time statement credit on purchases with IHG Hotels & Resorts’ mainstream brands. The offer expires June 15.
• Earn cash back as a statement credit on a stay at The Saguaro Palm Springs. The offer expires June 18.
• Earn bonus Membership Rewards points on a stay at a Canyon Ranch resort. The offer expires Aug. 12.

Targeted Chase Offers

• Earn cash back when spending on Southwest Airlines. The offer expires April 8.
• Earn cash back when spending with Turo. The offer expires April 29.
• Earn cash back on purchasing a Zipcar membership. The offer expires May 1.

Remember that these are targeted, and you must activate the offers before making eligible purchases to enjoy the cash back or bonus points.
