This year’s Joburg Cotton Fest has once again demonstrated that Riky Rick’s enduring legacy remains securely upheld by the current generation. Sharing her sentiments on Instagram, Moozlie took a moment to honour and commemorate the late rapper by posting a Bible verse from Romans 12:5. The verse resonates with her, reminding her of how the late Boss Zonke united everyone at the annual Cotton Fest.
In the post, the esteemed host and rapper expressed that despite Riky Rick‘s absence to commemorate his legacy, they sensed his enduring presence throughout the recently concluded Cotton Fest in Joburg.
“So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.” Romans 12:5 🤍 This verse always reminds me of my friend Riky. At every single @cottonfestjhb I marvel at how he was able to bring us all together. This year in particular was really special. It really hit home for me that God keeps His promises. It’s been 2 years since Riky passed but the event was SOLD OUT!! And everyone was still screaming BOSS ZONKE!! This land is really still his home,” said Moozlie.
The renowned rapper and host further conveyed gratitude to God for providing them solace, especially in Riky’s absence. “God is faithful & able. With a track record that truly speaks for itself. How He turned all of our heartache, pain, anger & confusion into these beautiful flashing lights. Into dancing in the rain. Into a community that is way deeper than we could ever articulate to anyone… I am in absolute awe! He is undoubtedly the ULTIMATE creator 🙌✨I say all that to say… God keeps His promises.
