In a sermon tonight, John Lindell addressed the controversy that occurred over the weekend at his church and called Mark Driscoll to repentance.

Tonight, it seems like John Lindell doubles down and accuses Mark of duplicitous behavior. You can watch the entire sermon video here.
The whole situation is sad if you think about it. Part of being a Christian leader is taking responsibility for your actions. By now, I think most people could agree that John Lindell’s actions regarding having that kind of performance at the conferences was ill-advised.
Mark Driscoll should’ve talked to him privately before he went on stage and called out the church, and just twisted scripture to somehow make it about the “Jezebel Spirit.”
Then, John Lindell misuses the passage in Matthew 18, and he does the very thing he says Mark shouldn’t have done: rebuke publicly before talking privately.
The sad part is that Driscoll and Lindell’s talk and reconciliation after that incident seem staged and not genuine. Now this call for repentance From John Lindell
