Embraer CEO on E-Freighter Success

Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO of Embraer, explains, “The E-Freighter program presents Embraer with a significant business opportunity, as it meets the surging global demand for cargo transport driven by e-commerce while demonstrating the exceptional operational performance of the advanced E-Jets family.”

“We highly appreciate the rapid progress of the E190F and E195F during the testing phase. These aircraft will become essential assets for our customers, enabling more agile and decentralized delivery operations.”

E-Jets Freight Conversion Program Overview

The E-Jets converted into freighters will offer over 50% more volume capacity, triple the range of large cargo turboprops, and up to 30% lower operating costs than narrowbodies. When combining the capacity under the floor and on the main deck, the maximum structural payload for the E190F is 13,500 kg, and for the E195F, it is 14,300 kg.

Launched in 2022, the E190F and E195F Passenger to Freight Conversions (P2F) program engaged a global network of over 40 suppliers and more than 600 employees, who dedicated over half a million hours to the E-Freighter project.
