Steak Sandwich – Argentina street food – Cooking at Clark Towers

A couple of weeks ago my daughter made this steak sandwich that was SO good that she worked from home a few days with me and we had the leftover 2 days in a row. I am actually craving it right now and I could eat it for breakfast no problem. I mean it has an egg in it why not?

In Argentina this is considered a street food and I can see that, it is just a sandwich after all. I still recall a sandwich we got when we were walking around Paris that at first glance didn’t have much hope, we thought it was going to be dry. It was anything but, we still talk about it to this day and if I could replicate it I would; I admit I have tried. How hard could it be a baguette, butter, ham and egg. It really was that simple but fabulous. Maybe it was because we had been walking for HOURS and super hungry. I am going with it was delicious.

Back to this most excellent sandwich that is called Lomo Completo – Lomo meaning tenderloin and Completo refers to completing the sandwich. You don’t need anything you can’t find at your local grocery store or might even have at home already. Abbi did make the chimichurri sauce that definitely finished off the sandwich perfectly.
