After a brief orientation and stocking up on supplies, we set sail towards our first destination, Agios Georgios, Symi’s most amazing beach.

It is a hidden gem that captivates visitors with its breathtaking beauty. The beach is framed by towering cliffs that create a dramatic backdrop, while the crystal-clear waters of the sea sparkle in varying shades of blue and turquoise. The fine pebble shore gently slopes into the inviting waters, making it perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

For the evening, we continued our trip to Symi Port. Symi is renowned for its colorful houses that cascade down to the azure waters. It is one of the most beautiful places in the Dodecanese Islands.

Here we could wander through the charming harbor, explore the Monastery of Archangel Michael Panormitis and indulge in fresh seafood at a local taverna.

Day 2: Nisiros – The Volcanic Marvel

The following day, we made our way to Nisiros, a unique island formed by volcanic activity. The sailing to our destination was hypnotic. The sea was incredibly quiet and calm, creating a serene and mesmerizing experience.

We anchored at Mandraki, the island’s main port, and ventured inland to the dramatic Stefanos Crater.

Here you can walk on the crater floor and feel the earth’s warmth beneath your feet. Nisiros is indeed a fascinating destination for nature lovers.
