Next time you’re the mood to deep clean your house, get to work with this easy, DIY Citrus Vinegar Cleaner.
We all know store-bought household cleaners are full of potentially harmful chemicals and ingredients. But, this DIY Citrus Vinegar Cleaner is simple and made with everyday ingredients. It’s perfect for bathrooms and kitchens, leaving you with a fresh lemon sent.
WHAT SUPPLIES DO I NEED FOR DIY CITRUS VINEGAR CLEANER?
- Preferred Citrus peels (I used orange, clementines, and lemons)
- Distilled Vinegar
- Mason Jar or a simple glass container that can be air tight
HOW DO I MAKE CITRUS VINEGAR CLEANER?
Place citrus peels in a mason jar. Fill the rest of the mason jar with distilled vinegar, until peels are submerged. Place the lid on the mason jar and keep it in room temperature out of direct sun for at least 1 week. The longer it sits, the stronger it will be. (I date mine on the lid so I don’t forget).
You can speed up the process also by boiling the peels and vinegar on low heat for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Transfer your Citrus Vinegar Cleaner to spray bottles when you are ready to use. I love these Clear Glass Bottles with a Silicone Sleeve Protection.
