IAG Cargo looks ahead to new Dublin-Denver flights

IAG Cargo can now offer air cargo belly capacity between Dublin (DUB) and Denver (DEN) for the first time with a new route launched by International Airlines Group’s (IAG) Aer Lingus.

From May 17, IAG Cargo customers will have the opportunity to transport goods directly between DUB and DEN with a frequency of four times per week, utilising the belly capacity of an Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

Additionally, there will be a boost in air cargo capacity between Dublin and Toronto (YYZ) due to a widebody Airbus A330-200 now being used four times a week on the service.

IAG Cargo said this new service and additional capacity further support its Dublin hub as a gateway to North America. The cargo company added that the additional services are essential to facilitating the movement of pharmaceutical products.

Medical and pharmaceutical items are the largest export for Ireland and have increased by 48% to €8.9m in January 2024 compared with January 2023.

Camilo Garcia Cervera, chief sales and marketing officer at IAG Cargo, said: We are really pleased to be introducing additional direct routes for our customers, connecting Ireland and the US. Ireland’s strategic location and business-friendly environment have established it as a key hub for the pharmaceutical industry.

“The additional capacity adds to our strong network offering in North America, giving local businesses a vital connection to global markets.”
