Tottenham overtake Aston Villa

On Sunday, Tottenham defeated Nottingham Forest 3-1 to go up to fourth place in the Premier League, leapfrogging Aston Villa.

Tottenham’s second-half game began with a left-footed shot from Micky Van de Ven on 52 minutes.

Spurs moved up to fourth position, leapfrogging Aston Villa on goal difference, as they remain in contention for the Champions League.

Forest, buoyed by their previous victory over Fulham, began strongly, with Murillo’s audacious long-range effort setting the tone early on.

However, Tottenham broke the deadlock with an own goal from Murillo before Chris Wood leveled the score for Forest.

In the second half, Van de Ven’s stunning strike from a short corner provided the breakthrough, followed by Pedro Porro’s clinical finish to seal the win.
