DoorDash driver’s car gets stolen delivering to rough neighborhood
Once upon a time, people complained about certain restaurants not offering delivery services. As a result, someone came and fulfilled that with food delivery services. Companies like DoorDash have made it where anybody can get food delivered. Now, the hood has thanked these companies by doing harm to their drivers and taking their cars, which are the workers’ personal vehicles.
DoorDash has seen controversy on both sides, however. There has been an uptick in the delivery drivers being rude to customers. When they don’t receive a tip, some of these people have refused to give the customers their food. Also, there were once a lot of incoming reports about DoorDash workers actually eating the food their customers ordered.
Overall, working in the delivery industry is a major risk. First, they have signed up to drop something off at a stranger’s home. Within itself, that’s a major and potentially dangerous risk. Much of this is because they don’t know the area and the people could have a dangerous pet. Or, in the case of this DoorDash delivery guy, the neighborhood was dangerous. He got out and was attacked and his car got taken.
