Understanding Amazon FBA Reimbursement Process 1/6

Once you’ve identified a potential reimbursement opportunity, the next step is to file a claim with Amazon.

The process for filing a claim varies depending on the specific issue and the stage of the fulfillment process at which the issue occurred:

Shipment to Amazon

For unaccounted or damaged inventory during shipment to Amazon, you’ll need to follow the “Shipment to Amazon” process.

This typically involves providing details about your shipment, such as tracking numbers, proof of delivery, and evidence of loss or damage.

Fulfillment Center Operations

If the issue occurred within Amazon’s fulfillment center operations, you’ll need to follow the “Fulfillment Center Operations” process.

This may require providing inventory reconciliation reports or other documentation to support your claim.

FBA Customer Returns

For issues related to customer returns, such as incorrect processing or lost items, you’ll need to follow the “FBA Customer Returns” process.

Here, you may need to provide details about the specific order and any relevant documentation.

Removals

Finally, suppose the issue involves an Amazon removal order (such as unaccounted, damaged, or disposed of items during the removal process). In that case, you must follow the “Removals” process and provide supporting documentation.

Follow the applicable process carefully and provide all requested information when filing a claim. Failure to do so may result in Amazon declining your claim.
