The Infinity Stones have resurfaced and will bond with the bodies and souls of different heroes and villains in Marvel Comics’ Infinity Watch annuals, which begins with June’s Thanos Annual #1. Marvel has revealed the solicitation for chapters 4-6 of the summer-long saga.
Per Marvel, acclaimed writer Derek Landy (Captain America/Iron Man) spearheads Infinity Watch, which will feature iconic and new fan-favorites characters as they battle to contain or control the limitless power of the universe’s most coveted artifact, the Infinity Stones. In addition to lending their talents to some of the chapters in the InfinityWatch saga, Landy and artist Sara Pichelli provide backup stories in each of the nine annuals that follow the creation and pursuit of the mysterious Death Stone-bearer, who the upcoming Thanos Annual #1 will reveal.

Avengers: Endgame is the class of superhero movies and the end of an era in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – but it’s also an excellent film, period.
Marvel’s Infinity Watch description reads, “The saga will follow up on previous Infinity Stone stories with the return of recent bearers including Star, Overtime, Prince of Power, Quantum, and Multitude, as well as introduce you to the new Mind Stone-Bearer for the first time! Landy discussed the upcoming Infinity Watch crossover. “When you write for Marvel, it’s all you can hope for to add your thread to the massive tapestry of stories that has been unfolding since 1961. To be asked, then, to spearhead this next chapter is a prospect beyond my paltry imagination,” he said. “I get to work on characters I’ve never written before—Thanos! Hulk! and drag them into the story beside the new generation of heroes like Ms. Marvel and Spider-Boy,” Landy added.
The Infinity Watch crossover kicks off with Thanos Annual #1, which will arrive in comic bookshops on June 26, 2024.
