The X-Men’s New Mission Could Bring Back Everyone

The remaining mutant heroes in the Marvel Universe are on a mission to bring back every single member of the X-Men who died at the hands of Orchis.

With the fall of Krakoa, Cyclops puts together a team of the most powerful X-Men to protect mutants in an uncertain age. The team deals with mutant-centric threats that besiege fellow mutants now spread across the planet without the stability of Krakoa’s protection. Essentially, the team is a deterrent powerful enough to ensure that while humans may hate mutants, moving against them would be an unwise choice.

X-Men #1‘s writer MacKay is excited to bring the iconic team back into the world, “Taking on the X-Men is always a daunting prospect, but I’m extremely psyched to take this team of mutants back into the world with Ryan,” he said. Series artist Stegman added, “When I first got into comics, drawing X-Men was the job you wanted as an artist. To have the opportunity now is mind-blowing.”

X-Men #35, the 700th issue of Uncanny X-Men, will arrive in comic book shops on June 5, 2024.
