It was a beautiful spring day in New York City for the big April 20, 2024 high holiday. There were numerous events all over the city and we managed to hit a few. Mary Fest kicked things off early in Brooklyn, where licensed operators could talk to consumers about their products. We saw so many friends there!
Then it was back to Manhattan to Washington Square Park. This is the biggest unsponsored, organic 420 party in the city. One licensed brand Viola set up shop surrounded by numerous unlicensed operators. Live music and smoke filled the air. It was a very diverse crowd with old and young, great styles on parade, and all ethnicities. Truly, the best place to celebrate on such a gorgeous day.
We wrapped up at Times Square with a countdown to 420 on the jumbotron, just like New Year’s Eve. Mike Tyson was on hand for a photo op and then he was ushered out of the screaming crowd and back to the Rock Hard cafe.
