Are you a classic Nancy and Ned fan? It’s hard to beat some of the phone conversations in Sea of Darkness, or maybe you want to play as Ned in Alibi in Ashes! If you’re more of a book lover, I think the first book where Ned and Nancy share a little smooch is The Mystery of the Moss-Covered Mansion. If you want a little more ~drama~ in ‘Til Death Do Us Part: Nancy Drew Files 24, Ned proposes, and Nancy says no! But that’s not all! The next day, he announces he is engaged to someone else!
Is Francy more your type? Regarding the best butterfly moments of Frank Hardy, it’s hard to beat the dropped phone calls of The Captive Curse or the puffer jacket of Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon. When it comes to Francy books, one book on my reading list for this year is heavily Francy-themed: Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Super Mystery #25: Secrets of the Nile. I’ve seen a few excerpts, and this book is definitely jam-packed with heart-pounding and giggle-worthy moments.
This may be a hot take, but I am a Nace gal, Nancy and Ace, that is! And no, not Ace, best friends with Bob. Ace from the Nancy Drew CW TV show! Nancy and Ace on the show are definitely “end-game,” but the road to get there is extremely rocky as there is a curse on them that happened during a tsunami from a 200-year-old witch, and as I explain this, I know how laughably insane it sounds! To relive all of Nace’s best moments this Valentine’s Day, I am going to rewatch:
- The Dilemma of the Lovers Curse – S4 E1
- Dangers of a Hopeful Sigil – S4 E3
- The Ransom of the Forsaken Soul – S3E13
- The Sign of the Uninvited Guest – S1 E14 (Specifically the scene when they go to the library)
