You are ruining the real estate value of the country and Lagos state

Aunty musician, please confine yourself to your knowledge base. Why do you think it’s right for people to be building houses over drainage paths and flood plains? You expect the government to just fold its arms and allow unbridled development of real estate in areas that’ll continue experiencing perennial flooding year on year without taking actions to remedy the flooding? Does it occur to you that these houses hindering free flow of flood waters are causing problems to other people’s properties, who’ll eventually be impacted by the flooding? Let those who are impacted by the demolition, majority of whom know that they’re not to build there in the first place, but are consumed by their ego, that they can always get away with disobedience to building rules and regulations, because they’re rich, accept their fate and move on. Invest sensibly in real estate in places that don’t have flooding and environmental issues. About foreigners investing in real estate, last time I checked, I’m aware that foreigners are not allowed to own real estate properties in Nigeria, apart from foreign and diplomatic missions. If they too contravene our land laws, their properties will be removed. The government has every right to remove any property that is deemed a danger to the environment.
