The Surveillance for Presumed BD-IPMN of the Pancreas

We read with interest the excellent and meaningful research by Marchegiani et al,1 which showed that stability, age, and cyst size are important indicators for the surveillance of presumed branch duct intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (BD-IPMNs). They performed an international multicenter study to investigate the influence of clinicopathological variables on the long-term surveillance of BD-IPMNs. The study enrolled 3844 patients with presumed BD-IPMNs from 12 international institutions in 8 countries.
