In their study, Desai et al1 from NICE-AA/CRC Consortium developed a novel artificial intelligence–driven strategy based on glycopeptide to detect advanced adenoma and colorectal cancer, achieving highly promising predictive potentials. Given the critical role of protein glycosylation modifications in cancer progression, especially in tumor immune evasion,2 the integration of liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry with artificial intelligence in this method offers a potential avenue for a crucial and noninvasive predictive approach with substantial value.
