The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a man identified as Abdu Hamidu, accused of sexually assaulting his niece. A statement released by the spokesperson of the command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, says Abdu, 25, allegedly assaulted his nine-year-old Niece after luring her into his room.
Nguroje said that the suspect was arrested on the 4th May, 2024.
The police spokesperson mentioned that the arrest was made following a complaint lodged to Police at Kala’a Division by the father of the victim who happens to be a brother to the suspect.
He said investigation had revealed that the suspect lured the victim into his room, away from the eyes of people and had canal knowledge with her. Nguroje assured that the suspect will be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
