At Mad City Dream Homes, we have a clear set of philosophies when it comes to buyer representation and serving our buyer clients. Here’s how the Mad City Dream Homes approach compares to the approach of a more traditional buyer agent.

Buyer agency contracts

  • The traditional approach: The traditional approach requires you to commit to a long-term buyer agency agreement before the agent will assist you. 
  • Our philosophy: We believe you should be able to “test-drive” our services before you decide to work with us, so we won’t ever require you to sign a long-term contract. 

Teamwork

  • The traditional approach: The traditional agent is the one and only realtor to serve you.
  • Our philosophy: We’re huge believers in teamwork. We understand that by working together we can offer you a better experience

Administrative support

  • The traditional approach: The traditional agent is the person providing all of the administrative support. 
  • Our philosophy: We invest in dedicated admin support. April Jerome is our specialist who ensures a smooth transaction without any glitches or delays. 

Search strategies 

  • The traditional approach: The typical agent very often employs a “set it and forget it” MLS search. 
  • Our philosophy: We prefer a more comprehensive search that often includes “coming soon” and off-market properties. 

Market insight 

  • The traditional approach: The traditional agent relies on outside sources to track the latest market trends. 
  • Our philosophy: We continuously conduct our own market research and publish our own local insights

Continuing education and improvement 

  • The traditional approach: The traditional realtor relies on their broker to offer a few educational events throughout the year. 
  • Our philosophy: We host weekly sessions to ensure we’re always learning from each other and from local experts.  

Service beyond the sale 

  • The traditional approach: The typical realtor sends you a series of monthly emails with canned real estate content. 
  • Our philosophy: We produce a monthly newsletter that shares our home improvement tips, contractor recommendations, market insights, and a schedule of community events.
