Korean-Style BBQ Beef Recipe – Bowl Me Over

Korean BBQ Beef Recipe

I have a lot of favorites don’t I? I love teriyaki chicken, Mongolian Beef, or tuna pokemmmmm! Most of my favorites involve food with BIG flavor and this Korean BBQ Beef Recipe definitely qualifies.

Korean BBQ Beef needs to be on your menu this week! This meal cooks up super quickly and has a ton of sweet/hot amazing flavor.

Ingredients

  • For the marinade you’ll need: chili paste, light soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, vinegar, brown sugar
  • tri tip, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Korean BBQ Sauce marinade. Set aside.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade.
  3. Seal and marinate for at least an hour or even overnight.
  4. Preheat the grill, get it screaming hot!
  5. Lightly oil the grill.
  6. Working in batches, place the thin slices of meat on the grill and quickly sear it for about 1 minute each side. Remove immediately and repeat until the remaining meat is grilled.
  7. Served piled on a bowl of rice, add a serving of kimchi and mandarin oranges to each bowl.
  8. Garnish with minced cilantro, sesame seeds, jalapeños and green onions.

Thinly sliced this BBQ cooks very quickly, about a minute per side. Be careful not to overcook!

Top Tip

Ask your butcher to cut the roast into thin slices of beef. Most are happy to help you out! It’s one of the services they offer.
