Emotional Support Alligator ‘Wally’ Kidnapped and Released into Swamp, Owner Claims
In an alarming and unexpected incident, Wally, a cherished emotional support alligator, was stolen during his owner’s vacation in Georgia, only to be abandoned in a swamp. The owner, Joie Henney, shared that the alligator was taken under mysterious circumstances, purportedly as part of a practical joke. The individuals involved in the theft left Wally in an unsuspecting homeowner’s backyard, presumably to cause alarm. The wildlife trapper managed to safely capture Wally, but instead of returning him, he released the alligator into a swamp populated by about 20 other alligators. The trapper doubted Wally’s chances of being found again, describing them as “slim to none.”
