Adlet and Nashentania ride out of Piena and head towards the place the Braves are to meet before attacking the Demon God. On the way, they encounter villagers fleeing their lands from the fiends! It’s already begun!

What happened?
As they ride, Nashentania helps herself to some fruit and vegetables from passing merchants, however, Adlet quickly tosses a coin their way before their shocked stares turn to anything worse. He’s already regretting accompanying the princess. Soon he gets to see just how impulsive she can be when she uses her saintly powers to prepare a carrot and a lemon. Adlet is surprised that she would use the powers of a god in such a manner. She decides to show him what else she can do and launches a barrage of swords at him. Adlet dodges and blocks, while yelling at her to stop. Eventually, she does and then apologises for her impulsive nature. It was always getting her in trouble in the palace.
During their first night on the road, Nashentania tells Adlet that her father is just a puppet after he was stripped of any real powers when he was accused of causing a civil war. He even ordered her execution at one point, so while she may look like a princess, she can tough it out, sleeping rough too. Adlet wakes to find her already ready to go. They continue on their journey and soon find villagers fleeing the area. Adlet rushed to help and soon found himself face-to-face with a horde of fiends. He attacked while Nashentania backed him up, but there was a girl left in the village. Nashentania implores him to focus on the mission, but he can’t leave a person behind. The village is littered with fiends corpses, all shot with an iron ball. He soon finds the person responsible, however, she’s concerned that he has come to kill her!
What did you think?
All right, now it’s getting interesting. In the first episode, we heard about someone killing potential Braves. Of course, now that there are real Braves, Adlet believes they will meet this Brave killer soon. We also learn about another likely Brave – Goldov, a warrior who threw a fight allowing Nashentania to win the previous tournament in Piena. She tells Adlet that he is hunting the Brave Killer. Towards the end of the episode, he catches up with Nashentania and tells her the identity of the Brave Killer. Of course, it’s the girl that we just met with Adlet in the village. At this stage, we don’t know enough about how Goldov learned her name or why he thinks she’s the killer.
The main purpose of this episode was to show Nashentania’s reckless side. She acted like a princess, taking food without any thought of the value to the person she took it from. She attacked Adlet believing it to be good fun. Then, she showed little regard for the people when she told Adlet to focus on their mission. She really is a spoilt princess… isn’t she? Well, there were some interesting things in this episode that might say otherwise. For one, I want to know why her father wanted to execute her during the civil war. I feel like that’s an important thing that Adlet should have asked. I’m also very curious about the bunny ears. Where did they come from and does her father have them?
However, the real juicy piece that you may have missed was when Adlet was watching Fremy, she saved a puppy and then released a dog. Before they ran off, she told them that fiends don’t attack animals and that they had nothing to worry about. Then, when we returned to Nashentania who had been fighting fiends, we saw that her horse was dead… but she was fighting fiends! So, who killed the horse and why?
