Your generous donations are ensuring shelter animals have full bellies. This allows shelters to use the saved money on medical care for sick animals like Count Chocula and Coco Puffs.
The kittens arrived at just a few weeks old suffering from life-threatening Feline panleukopenia (also called feline distemper). It is a highly contagious and often fatal viral disease.
The other kittens in the litter sadly did not survive. Count Chocula and Coco Puffs had a long and difficult journey but are tough and managed to survive.

Dolly’s Cat Sanctuary and Rescue who took in the sick kittens shared, “These tiny fighters spent several days in the hospital, where they received intensive supportive care. There were moments when we didn’t know if they’d make it. Their tiny bodies were exhausted, and the trauma of losing their siblings left them emotionally and physically fragile. But they fought—and so did we.”
Their recovery involved a lot of care, love, and nutritious food – which your donations helped provide.

“You didn’t just give us Friskies wet food—you gave us hope in a can,” shared their caretakers.
The kittens are now thriving and continue to grow stronger each day. The rescue sends their thanks, “Now, we’re seeing playful pounces, tiny meows, and steady weight gain. They’re healing. They’re thriving. It’s because someone like you cared enough to give. Thank you for being part of this journey. Your kindness is helping us write a new chapter for two brave little souls who almost didn’t make it.”

Your daily action on The Animal Rescue Site are also helping feed shelter animals across the country.
Every time you click, play trivia, and shop, you are helping feed shelter pets. These actions take a few minutes each day but have a huge impact in the lives of homeless dogs and cats.
Animal shelters are overcrowded and rely on donations to feed all the animals in their care. We want to thank you for taking the time to help animals daily.
