My Review
The Dr Jart Ceramidin line focuses on strengthening the skin barrier with a hefty dose of ceramides, which are crucial for hydration and protection. I’ve noticed that a lot of people tend to really suffer with dry skin around the eyes and on the eye lids when the weather is cold, so the launch of the Dr.Jart Ceramidin Skin Barrier Moisturising Eye Cream is perfectly timed.
Packaging
The eye cream comes in a simple pot with Ceramidin’s signature accent of yellow. I actually love an eye cream in a pot. There’s something very satisfying about it, especially with a gorgeous bouncy texture like this.
The Formula
The texture of this eye cream is lovely! It has an addictive rich and bouncy texture and as you touch it, you pick up the tiniest yet perfect amount to moisturise the whole eye area.
It is rich but still light and feels super soothing and comfy on the skin. It’s like a hug for the eyes, and I think it’s the perfect option if you are suffering with any sensitivity and can’t handle anything too active right now.
In fact, if you are using something quite active, like a retinol for instance, this will be the perfect antidote to ensure that the delicate skin barrier around the eyes stays intact.
How It Feels
What I really like about this is that it sinks in so nicely and although you feel that the moisture levels are significantly boosted, it still feels light and comfortable, and it sit really well under makeup. You don’t need to worry about concealer slipping and sliding all over the place.
Who’s It For?
If you struggle with dry, tight skin around your eyes or simply want to boost hydration and support your skin barrier, this one’s for you. However, if dark circles are your main concern, this might not be a miracle worker—it’s more about moisture than pigmentation correction.
I think this will be a great product to have in your stash for when your eye area needs some TLC. It has some excellent ingredients in the formula that are guaranteed to keep that all important skin barrier intact.
