Glowing and hydrated, Chrissy Teigen received a pre-makeup J-Beauty facial before tonight’s big show, courtesy of Curél Japanese Skincare.
Celebrity makeup artist Kristine Studden relied on the Amazon-available line throughout Teigen’s skin-care prep. Studden began by double cleansing the skin using the Curél Japanese Skincare Makeup Cleansing Gel ($15), followed by the Curél Japanese Skincare Foaming Facial Wash ($15) to get “her skin as fresh and cleansed as possible without drying it out.”
Once Teigen’s skin was clean, Studden applied the Curél Japanese Skincare Deep Moisture Spray ($15), a multitasking mist specifically made for dry, sensitive skin. “This ultra-fine, ceramide-infused mist is an all-in-one face and body mist and gives her skin a boost of hydration while helping to replenish ceramides,” Studden says.
After cleansing, Studden applied the Curél Japanese Skincare Moisture Facial Milk ($22.50) to help her skin retain as much natural moisture as possible. Then, she applied the Curél Japanese Skincare Anti-Wrinkle Hydrating Serum ($19) all over Teigen’s face and down her neck and chest, providing deep hydration. The under-$20 is considered a “holy grail” by Amazon reviewers, with one happy customer saying she relies on it post-laser treatments. “I get routine laser treatments for my face which leaves my face raw after each session. This moisturizer calms the redness in one night. It’s extremely hydrating, plumps up the skin, makes your skin glowy. BUT not thick at all, dries down really fast, super lightweight. No scent at all. The texture is gel and only sticky for the 15 seconds it takes to dry down, and then its like youre not using anything on your face. Really good quality.”
For finishing steps, it was the Intensive Facial Moisture Cream ($22), a lightweight and nourishing moisturizer that gives a healthy glow. Studden finished off her prep with the Curél Japanese Skincare Moisture Repair Eye Cream ($24).
