This was a tornado warned supercell, part of the 3/5/2022 Iowa outbreak that also spawned the Winterset, IA tornado, one year ago today. This particular cell, much to my chagrin, never produced anything of desire, though it continually looked promising. I spent 30 minutes wishing, but it wasn’t meant to be. It was pretty to watch, nonetheless, as the rotation of the structure was obvious, nearby lightning was minimal, and the rain was west and north. It was a perfect storm, if you will, aside from its imperfections.
