The $55 Hair Scrub Madison LeCroy Loves for Hair Growth

If there’s one thing that piques my interest as a beauty-obsessed shopping writer, it’s getting a peek inside a celebrity’s Amazon cart. So when they spill their must-have beauty buys, you better believe I’m taking notes. Case in point: Southern Charm’s Madison LeCroy just revealed the hair-care staples she swears by for hair growth. Given that she’s a licensed cosmetologist with long, healthy strands to show for it, I’m all ears—and I assume you probably are, too.

Enter the Goop Beauty Scalp Scrub Shampoo ($55). “I have used tons of exfoliating shampoos because I’m big into scalp health,” she recently told E! News. “That’s a way to make sure that your hair is growing at its full potential. It also make sure that new hair is getting as much volume as possible.”

LeCroy went on to explain that a proper scalp cleanse is vital for hair growth. “If you have layers of buildup, dead skin, dry shampoo, it’s just going to stack so hair can’t fully come out of the follicle,” she said. “You can do this every third shampoo, or as needed. This product is not as gritty as others so it lathers. It smells like a spa.”

This scrub is ideal for those who love the massaging benefits of a physical exfoliant, but if the price feels a bit steep, LeCroy also has a more affordable alternative: the Amika Reset Pink Charcoal Scalp Cleansing Oil ($30). Unlike Goop’s formula—which you use as a shampoo—this one is applied directly to the roots, massaged in, and left for a few minutes before rinsing and following up with your usual wash routine. The results are similar, promising to dissolve buildup that could be preventing your hair from reaching its healthiest potential.
