The iconic Von Erich wrestling dynasty has taken a major step forward with Marshall and Ross Von Erich officially joining AEW.

The brothers announced their signing during the debut episode of their new podcast, “The Claw Pod,” marking a pivotal moment in their careers and in the ongoing legacy of the Von Erich family in professional wrestling.

“Today, on this day, we can officially say that Ross and Marshall Von Erich are officially signed with AEW,” Marshall announced on the podcast. “The 12-year journey, it’s not an expensive hobby anymore.”

While their AEW debut is a fresh chapter, the Von Erich brothers are no strangers to championship glory. They are the current holders of the Ring of Honor (ROH) World Six-Man Tag Team Championship alongside veteran Dustin Rhodes.

However, due to Marshall’s recovery from a partially torn pectoral muscle, their last title defense was in September, and they’ve been off television since then. Despite the injury setback, the brothers’ ambition remains high as they prepare to re-enter the ring under AEW’s banner.

“This is kind of the thing I feel like we’ve been working towards our whole careers. We knew it would be on a big major scale, and this meets every parameter of that…it means a lot for the Von Erich family,” Ross added on the podcast. “Not to kiss [Tony Khan’s] butt, but he kind of single-handedly is keeping the Von Erich name, the Von Erich dream alive for us at this point. He’s gonna have our loyalty forever because of that. More than anything, we’re just super excited, and this day we’ve dreamt about for so long, it’s finally here.”

The Von Erich brothers, Marshall and Ross, are the sons of the legendary Kevin Von Erich, a key figure in the family’s iconic wrestling legacy, and are part of the group known as The Sons of Texas in AEW and ROH.

In addition to their success in AEW, they have made their mark in Major League Wrestling (MLW), where they held the MLW World Tag Team Championships, further cementing their place in the wrestling world.

The Von Erich name is synonymous with wrestling history. Their grandfather, Fritz Von Erich, was a wrestling legend and the promoter behind World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW).

The family’s legacy is further defined by Marshall and Ross’s uncles—David, Kerry, Mike, and Chris—who all competed in the ring. Their cousin, Lacey, also followed the family tradition, wrestling for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA).
