  1. 30 Minutes of INSANE Financial Decisions… https://youtu.be/TIstNYosETE

  2. I wonder how people still fall for timeshare in this time and age where information about it is easily available.

  3. One doesn't really needs a vacation if one is already Retired and in their senior years which I am right now @ 62 years old. I did all of my travelling via riding motorcycles and went all over the places along in different US States PLUS Canada 2X's in 20 years.

  4. My life hack: live in Florida. We live near all of the theme parks, and withing driving distance of 3 cruise ports. Florida resident discounts and last minute cruise deals, not to mention zero state income makes Florida hard to beat.

  5. I work for a sign and advertising company in Hawaii. One of our clients is a “timeshare dealer” as well as a tour guide company.

THEY ARE MAKING BANK. Always opening up new kiosk and new shops in Waikiki (notoriously expensive) and hiring new workers left and right.

The amount of people I see stop by the kiosk interested in timeshares just in the time while I’m installing something is crazy.

  6. Ive been saving roughly $3,200 a month for the last 20 years. 20 more to go before I retire.

  7. Lmao. You'd be better off spending $30000 on a gold rolex. At least the thing would last you forever.

  8. My husband and I did a timeshare presentation (probably our 3rd ever) for a discounted vacation. Unfortunately it was on his birthday and they claim it was would be 90 min. They drove us to another location where they could control us from coming and going. They had a relatable guy start with us, then a super nice local guy meet with us. They gave us a lot of alcohol. My husband almost caved and I said no. They eventually “let us go” about 3 hours later. We had to face the final boss of an even higher pressure guy with lots of rings, looked and sounded like a mob boss. We spent another 45 min with him saying no. Then had to wait for their ride to get us to bring us back to the resort. It’s not worth it. It’s not worth the free stuff or discounted vacations. It’s not as simple as saying no. It’s high pressure and they are good at what they do. We wouldn’t have a house today if I wasn’t able to stick to my no.

  9. Here in Arizona your spouse is required to be present for the presentation, etc.

  10. And I thought being 9k in debt at 35 was bad 🤣🤣🤣

  11. Um 10 day vacation in a beautiful resort is $1,500 or less in the Caribbean

  12. The couple will be filing Chp. 7😮😮😮

  13. Marriott is offering 50,000 Bonvoy points if you sit through a 90 minute zoom call with your spouse. My wife won't do it with me:(

  14. Once we were blessed enough to do pretty much as we please. We looked at all the things retired people look at. A nice boat to cruise up and down the East Coast. Nice camper to see the country and even a second home. Once I ran the numbers, and found out that we could take four 5star vacations a year for less money and no maintenance. I think you know what we do with our money now.

  15. I have time off I go camping or fishing and hiking, all pretty much free depending how needy you are. This is simply ridiculous I would love to travel but I’d rather travel with the knowledge that it won’t destroy my finances and future. People get so absorbed by the lavish lifestyle that they just play pretend until their consequences come back to bite them in the ass, and then we get the sob story. Boo.

  16. My poor ass co-worker came back from Florida with the vacation package. They basically find people that want to be treated like royalty or wealth and sell them something that is full of scams. So, I tried going for a presentation and they were criminal types selling people. The one hour turns into hours and using up a 300 dollar day in the sun. NOW, they grab a credit card to let you in so they have you.

  17. My grandma passed down her timeshare in Las Vegas it's a penthouse that sleeps 6 people for 2 weeks a year for 500 dollars a year , I can't get 3 days in shitty hotel for that price.

  18. These are the type of people that will day capitalism is the problem and we need socialism to save us.

  19. How are timeshares even legal? A scummy scam all around.

  20. We took our kids to Disney once when they were little. We asked them if they wanted to go again a few years later and they said NO. With the price now days there is no way we would go it is just not worth it.

  21. All those weeks of vacations would be great but I don't get that much time off work.

  22. Disney is very inexpensive vacation, compared to the vacations modern day women feel they're entitled to.

  23. Another thing about timeshares is you can simply book a week there just like a hotel. I've done this. The timeshare facilities have been empty when I've done this and always luxurious. Where are the owners? Why buy when you can rent? I remember one particularly plush timeshare in Kissimee FL. just outside Disney. Me and 2 buds stayed there while working. Nobody there except 1 owner form Maine. We met him in the deluxe outdoor Jacuzzi. He said want to buy my timeshare?

  24. $1900 per person for a typical vacation? No research done and they don't know how to do online travel search. For S***s and giggles I just planned a virtual ski vacation out to Steamboat Springs Co. Airfare $400, Car rental $300 hotel $600. My ski trip is at $1300 without even tapping into any Rewards Miles. Get discount lift tickets locally and picnic out of supermarket / take out Chinese in your room. (notice I didn't book into Aspen where you will be ripped off and wait in long lift lines.)

  25. Sometimes it's cheaper visiting another country than traveling within the US. I've been to Colombia numerous times for what was cheaper than traveling within the US and that includes airfair.

  26. So disappointing you didn’t do any research on the companies “trying to get you out of timeshares” which is another scam.

  27. Me and my wife in 2016 went to japan for two weeks and australia for 2 weeks. It included 3 days of scuba diving in the great barrier reef. Including airfare it was $7k. I had been saving for scuba diving since I was 13, so it was 100% paid for.

  28. If you have the time and the money like my brother in law its worth it i think he is the one in a million people that time shares are good for

  29. John Oliver made it clear that both timeshares and the exit companies are predatory.

  30. If you buy (2) 20k gold packages you get 10 weeks, you can sell your 6 weeks for 30k and 4 weeks for 15k and make 5k at the end. You can really bend them over a barrel.

  31. I live in Orlando. I don't know how people afford a full vacation at Disney or Universal. I have a Disney annual pass and don't visit nearly as much as I'd like.

  32. ** My kids rolled in dirt for their birthday & they were just as happy.

  33. OMG😮 Genetics mutations are more common than you think. Nowadays people are getting dumber and dumber. More and more of them have the stupid gene in their DNA than ever before. Certain people deserve to end up living in a cardboard box, on the street, the way they squander money.

  34. South park literally did this episode already😂

  35. I’m shaking when i have 600 of credit card debit

  36. If you're going to spend 2k for a week vacation. Just book a fucking cruise.

  37. “I googled it…. AFTERWARDS” (c) Famous last words 😂

  38. Never forget my coworker tried to convince me to go to Japan and put all the expenses on my credit card because I needed “Me” time

  39. Timeshares? I thought it was a thing of the 90s or something
