I still hate one thing that Soul Society's strong and wise soul reapers allowed people like Ganju, Chad and Orihime to go. That doesn't make any sense. Maybe Orihime can make sense because of her healing. But to me, it still doesn't make sense. He is going among many enemies and they are still allowing these weak friends of Ichigo to go to the Royal Palace.
That makes no sense strategically. Ichigo will lose his mind and instead of fighting calmly, collected and using brains, he will battle with anger and lost mind if his friends die.
I would have loved this change. I don't care what Ichigo thinks that his friends will become upset or what his friends think. He(Ichigo) should have a good idea of the strength of his enemy and his friends.
Soul Reaper captains should understand that for Ichigo and Yoruichi to completely focus on battle, they should not allow his(Ichigo's) friends to go with him.
If Kubo did make such changes, I would have loved it.

I can understand Ichigo allowing his friends to come along, but I can't understand Soul Reapers not trying to stop Ichigo's friends in Seireitei itself.

Ichigo really is an anomaly in terms of power and circumstance, even his inner forces act opposite to how their external counterparts usually do:

White or Actual Zangetsu always wants Ichigo to improve and win, which also manifests as his hollow mask slowly appearing more in the Soul Society Invasion arc until it completely overtook him against Ulquiorra after his "death";
Meanwhile Yuha-getsu or Fake Zangetsu is constantly holding Ichigo's spiritual pressure back and even keeping his zanpakuto in a constant release state.

It makes sense to me personally, since Ichigo is essentially The Counteractive Force in the Bleachverse whether due to naivete and Trauma at the beginning of the series or due to a sense of Protectorship and Heroism at the end, but we will see what cool stuff happens next week

Though given Uryu's new powerup, part of me really does want to see him fight Byakuya as well.

Something that I’ve started to consider now the anime is expanding the story is that the backdrop of the Quincy/Shinigami is fundamentally the difference between eastern (Japanese) and western culture; the conquest of imperialism in the west vs the conservatism of east. Ichigo is the balance between the 2 being a being of all the worlds. Once he makes peace with himself, he achieves his full power, and which is a metaphor for the ‘real world’ – understanding the need to advance but respect for the past is a truly powerful. He ‘smashes’ the ideological restrictions of both Quincy at the end of bleach whilst doing the same for the Shinigami in the beginning of the series, embodied by Byukuya’s plea to him at the start of the Invasion. Edit: I also wanted to comment about 21:00 or so, I honestly just think the Schutzstaffel have a lot of cameraderie in general. They are strong enough that they don't need to worry about ever losing their positions or being replaced, so their peers aren't their enemies, unlike the lower levels of the Sternritter, although that's just my headcanon.

Could you imagine how much more powerful Orihime would be if she wasn't naturally timid? If she was someone who was mentally a fortified-resolved person like Rukia or Yoruichi, she would have the potential to be top 4 most powerful alongside Ichigo, Yhwach, and Aizen.

Ok I NEED some manga spoilers because this episode has me heated and NOT in a good way. I am guessing that Ishida despite all the nonsense this episode is gonna betray the quincies. What I wanna know is WHAT is his exact motive here? Because ain't NO FREAKING WAY it justifies bringing about the doom for every world out there by helping Yhwach here whatsoever. He BETTER have a backup to uno reverse the death of soul king or something like that because no matter what his personal motivation, this has now gone WAY too far with no hope for redemption or forgiveness in universe now.

I swear it BETTER not just be some mere personal revenge for the death of mother and grandfather because risking the lives of EVERYONE IN EXISTENCE for personal revenge is beyond scummy.

Uryu and his household is very conservative and traditionalist . That's why most of Uryu's quincy outfit before looks like a priest rather than military uniform. Also during fighting against Mayuri in soul society arc, letz still that him using resembles a lot to traditional Japanese archer. Basically in early arc he only learned japanese kind of quincy , while after having training session with father , then he knew how to perform a few german named quincy techniques including using seele schneider. Also a nice consistency bit, where his new power with swarm of small feather-like autonomous arrow has the same theme as his previous heilig pfeil, Kojaku , and Ginrei Kojaku where the translation are lone sparrow and lone sparrow on silver cliff . It definitely an upgrade as licht regen is just barrage of arrows in one direction, while this new power can shoot around 360° , up down above even blindspots

I like the subtle "you're naive Kurosaki" when Ichigo purposefully misses the Jujishou; it really shows how well they know each other. Also, Uryu is certainly solidifying the Kamaitachi title he took from Jirobo.
