Yes, I love the fact that they have lost so much influence, but I want to point out how fake this outrage about celebrities giving their opinion about politics is (we need to be honest here, guys), because some Republicans, and particularly some right-wing hosts, only hate it when the celebrities support the other party, but when a celebrity openly supported Trump this season, (which I enjoyed, too) or critized the democratic party, all these republican hosts and podcasters were only too happy to cover the news and openly celebrate it. They even invited those celebrities to their shows for an interview wanting to know more about their opinions on POLITICS!! So please, give me a break! Consistency and coherence in our standards are difficult to keep up, I know. But we also need a little of the self-reflection we keep telling the other side needs. My stand on this matter is that it's really annoying and fake when a celebrity is preachy and judgemental with their activism and political endorsement. And if that celebrity is judgmental and aggressive towards people with different views, they are fair game. They can take it as hard as they throw it. But if they just shared their point of view or endorsement, debate their ideas and the insulting part is uncalled for. Also, childish. You just look resentful and desperate. Like you were hurt that that happened. Also, as annoying as it is that celebrities preach about politics, make up your mind, does everyone have the right to express their opinions or not? If so, everyone can, from a housewife, a barber, a blue-collar guy, to yes, a celebrity, too. Do you believe in freedom of speech or not? If you love it and fangirl on celebrities when they support your candidate, stop telling the other celebrities to shut it. You are being a hypocrite!! It's a double standard!!
