I need to know the exact address I can use to send you an email.
What horrible people to give you such trouble about your wedding venue!
Great team
I think between your and Zac knowledge, you could both design stoma bags x
I am from South Africa and although I have the notification setting, I always seem to miss the life chat, I am so sorry 😳😳😳. But I ALWAYS enjoy watching it afterwards.
Thank you so much Maggie and Zak. Lots of hugs 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
Hi guy's 🙂 hope all is well <3
We can hear you.
Thank you both for your love Q&A. Being a mother to a 16 year old daughter with crohns disease I always find other suffers knowledge reassuring. It is my daughter who I mentioned who was diagnosed at 12 years old and put straight onto Humira. Since then nearly 5 years on my daughter has had no symptoms what so ever and is coming up to 5 years in remission. I really am sorry that when you was 12 years old you wasn't listened to. I am sure so much more can be done for early diagnosis these days.
Zak is an amazing young man and one for keeps. X
You are so strong and brave I thank you for your knowledge
I love you and Zac thanks for sharing 💜
So sorry I missed your live. We had just gotten home from a mini vacation and I was involved in unpacking. Will definitely try to be on your next live. You and Zak are such a great team and I love seeing all your videos. I always tell you Maggie that I’ve learned so much from you regarding ostomy care. Love and thanks to both you and Zak 💗💙
Licking door knobs, doesn't everybody?
oral allergy syndrome ! i have that too. it continues to surprise me how similar our disease processes are !
My surgeon keeps saying I have to get down to a BMI of 40 (or around 40 depending on the day) before he will do a reversal. I am living on Benadryl because of a terrible adhesive allergy and just had to increase my dosage because skipping 2 doses (I take it 6x a day) was enough that the allergy testing I had didn't even register that I had any Benadryl in my system. The allergist thought I had gone 5 days without it.
I was doing well pre-pandemic with weight loss (Down to a 47.8 BMI). Then, I had tendonitis in my foot that was misdiagnosed for over 6 months. I was given steroids because I can't take anti-inflammatories. A week of steroids = +20 lbs that don't want to go away for ≈ 6 months. I have been on steroids 4-5 more times after that (back x2, bronchitis, wrist, shoulder).
I talked with a nutritionist on the phone when my BMI was back up over 55. I was walking around my dining room and kitchen during the entire call. Eventually, she asked me about exercise. I told her that I was walking the entire time. She couldn't tell. She told me I am doing what I am supposed to and she actually didn't think I needed to lose weight because I was walking and talking and not breathless after 20+ minutes. I explained what the surgeon said. She was going to pass along information to him. We were HOPING he would change his mind.
My PCP has now decided that BMI is a joke (22 years after I started seeing her). I used to joke that I just needed to get 2 feet taller. This last time, she asked me why the surgeon hasn't done the reversal yet. She wished he would have done it back in 2020 just before the pandemic. I told her he wants a BMI of 40. She looked at my BMI on her computer and laughed. She said she has patients that are bigger than me with lower BMIs. The problem is I am an athlete and muscle, being denser than fat, takes up less space, but BMI doesn't take that into consideration. This last time, she said I just need to get taller, lol.
I wish Convatec had pouching systems that fit larger stoma sizes.
Hi from🇮🇹Italy
Sorry I missed your live chat Excited to listen. I want to check out raising some butterflies. I am east of Pittsburgh, and we have had a fairly wet August so far. We have had great weather here most of the summer. Only 2 days of 90 deg weather.
I was told to stay in as much as possible during the pandemic. I already had T1D before COVID for 40 years.
Nice to hear about solutions for adhesive. I leave my glucose monitor on for 10;days which is the recommended time so very strong adhesive to last 10 days.
Do you have any trouble getting additional bags for back up. I had a CGM fail and no back up sensor due to insurance not covering. I have to wait on a new sensor to come by Tuesday. I can at least use a meter as backup but I cant imagine you could wait a compile of days for a replacement.
How is your haunted house you once mentioned you had strange occurrences happening in your house?😄
