Save some roses for the rest of us.
Impressions:
At least it made me laugh, even though that was definitely at the show, not with it. It’s not enough that dudes are just vampires. If they’re going to do vampire stuff, they need to put on the entire opera outfit and properly look the part. Likewise with the protagonist. It’s not enough to just pose as a man. She needs to whip off a wig and reveal a luxurious head of head. And then there’s the writing. I have to fire you for being TOO popular with the customers. After all, there’s no room for dudes in my restaurant with all these women hanging around. It’s awful! Or all the women on the streets who can’t help themselves from screaming uncontrollably every time they see an attractive man like a gender swapped New York construction worker.
Was it good/do I plan to stick around? Nah. But it was corny enough to be amusing. I can respect the earnestness of blasting roses and pink nonsense at full blast and trying to put together convoluted soap opera nonsense while everybody’s dressed like complete ponces. It’s still missing a sparkling pretty boy in a monocle though, and if you wanted to make it an actual parody, those collars need to be significantly larger, or maybe even make them grow from one scene to the next. It’s Ouran Host Club, but with vampires instead of comedy, and no Bones production strength.
