There’s a new holiday romance movie in town, and it’s currently number one on Netflix.
We’re talking about the loveably ridiculous Netflix original Christmas movie, Hot Frosty. You can take that title literally. In this fun-to-not-take-seriously rom-com, Lacey Chabert (of Mean Girls fame, which the this movie doesn’t let you forget), puts a red scarf on a hot snowman, which brings him to life.
Of course, as I watched Hot Frosty last night, I couldn’t help but think of all the other loveable holiday characters. Who would I want to adorn with a magical red scarf to turn them into a sexy version I can fall in love with? Who should get their own Hot Frosty-style movie? Let’s play a little game of “What if?”
Hot Abominable Snowman
This seems like a no brainer. When “Jack” turns into a human in Hot Frosty, he’s this muscled, veiny, magazine model type. But what about those of us who prefer the dad bod? Enter the Abominable Snowman from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964). He’s hairy, he’s huggable, and he’s misunderstood–a triple threat.
Hot Krampus
Some of us prefer the curmudgeon over the affable, smiling simpleton. What about Krampus? Sure, he’s essentially a craggy old monster–especially if we’re talking about the 2015 horror movie version–but this red scarf has magical powers. Maybe it’ll turn this anti-Santa into the kind of hot guy who seems like he hates everything and everyone and then suddenly gives you the most thoughtful gift you’ve ever gotten. (Hot Krampus is also for the people who live by the ill-advised motto, “I can fix him.”)
Hot Jack Skellington
You throw a magical red scarf around Jack Skellington’s bony neck and what do you get? The kind of emo-goth that is inexplicably hopeful and positive. He’s simultaneously wearing black skinny jeans and volunteering to walk dogs at the local animal shelter. Basically a walking, talking Hot Topic. And he can sing. You really can’t get much hotter than that.
Hot Elf on the Shelf
This is for the moms who painstakingly create elaborate scenes for their kids every night to make them think that their Elf on the Shelf is moving around the house. Now imagine he comes to life and is a hot man who just really loves making Christmas magical. He loves kids and he’s mischievous. Sure, you’d be sick of him by Boxing Day, but that’s when you take off the scarf and pack him up again for next year.
Hot Marshmallow Peeps
Okay, hear me out. We needed something for Easter and I feel like the Easter Bunny is too obvious. Plus, Peeps have become a sugary treat for every holiday, so you could watch Hot Marshmallow Peeps all year ’round. How will Peeps be sexy? Good question. Um…he’ll be soft, sweet, and incredibly polarizing. Some of your friends will hate him and some will love him, and everyone will just have to agree to disagree.
